Angry doctors say the burden effectively pushes Australians down waiting lists. More than 30,000 foreign citizens were treated in Victoria’s hospitals in 2010-11, leaving the state’s healthcare system with $6 million in unpaid bills.

Many did not pay, sparking calls for travel insurance to be made a visa requirement. While most international patients were treated after falling ill or being injured while here, thousands made the most of the state’s world-class medical amenities for non-urgent treatments.

Less than half of the 11,372 international patients given a hospital bed were facing medical emergencies, with more than one in five having elective surgery and even more filling maternity wards.

Casino Royale
I thought that since I’m so heavily involved in the film industry I better tell you some of my favourite movies of all time. You’ve probably already guessed from my other posts but I’m a bit of a casino fiend so naturally a lot of the films I like are about casinos. I love the gangster casino movies like ‘Casino’ with Robert De Niro. This is, in my opinion, is one of the best movies of all time. I also like the light-heartedness of the ‘Ocean’s 11’ films. I think they are just so well done and have a fantastic cast. James Bond: Casino Royale is not one of the best but it’s certainly in my top 10 list. The movie called 21 is also a good one although a little bit for the younger crowd I think. If I ever got to make a movie about the industry I would choose to base it on the online casino industry. There hasn’t been anything made about this so it would be really popular and probably make a killing at the box office. Well, that’s all I have to say about movies today. I’m off to play some mac casino games on my new iPad. I just downloaded a new app and can’t wait to try it out!

Ever since I was a young child I have always wanted to be involved in films in some way. I remember every time my mother used to take me to my Grandparents house I would sit in front of the TV watching ‘The Wizard of Oz’ over and over again. I knew from that moment that the movie industry was where I wanted to be. Briefly, when I was in High School, I contemplated a career in the casino industry but that was short-lived. I got my first job as an on-set assistant when I was 18 years old and things have just got better and better. I’ve been really lucky to be able to live out my dream in the fantastic city of LA. When I’m not on set I’m usually heading off to Vegas to pursue my other passion which is casino games. If I don’t have time to make it to Sin City then I’ll stay home in my beautiful condo, put on one of my favourite films and play at an online casino. I really am ‘living the dream’.

Lord of the Rings
I honestly can’t believe this! If you’ve read any of my other posts you would know that I have two passions in life – films and casinos. Well, today I heard some great news. Warner Brothers has teamed up with Microgaming (one of the biggest online casino software companies) to produce The Lord of the Rings slot game! I’ve yet to try it but I hear that there are actual clips from the film playing in the background as the reels spin. As soon as I get a chance I’ll be heading to my favourite casino online, Casino Action for some serious gaming!

Every now and then I head off and leave my beloved LA and the US. It does not happen often since international travel can be quite expensive. My favourite places around the world are Argentina, Singapore and Kenya. As you can see I chose one from each continent, but keep in mind that I have not travelled this much yet. I loved Singapore’s new casino and entertainment complex. It is close to the Marina and looks like a boat on top off two skyscrapers very interesting design. Playing online casino games has always been fun for me, so I also tried out the casino in Singapore. I even won a bit of money. In Argentina I stayed in Buenos Aires visited a lot of Milongas and the San Thelmo markets. Kenya is very special as well. You can go on a safari and see the big 4, have a look around in Nairobi and get a glimpse of mighty Mt Kenya. More travels are to come… to be continued.

Working is not everything and even though the film industry is often very creative and fun, there is still a need to do other things but working. Many people join sport clubs, go for a run or have other hobbies. One of the things which has become very popular lately is playing games at a casino online. This hobby does not need to be expensive. You can play with a casino bonus and use other special promotions. However, if you would like to also win some money, you will have to put some money in. Knowing how to play the games and how to beat the system becomes then very important. Playing at an online casino can be challenging but there are also many games which are fairly simple, so be sure what your level of expertise is.

Being stuck in Los Angeles for a while will want to make you head out. With so many fun places around, this is not always an easy decision, but many of us always head to Las Vegas. This city is just amazing and if you have not visited it yet, well you need to go even if you do not play casino games. Las Vegas is just simply special and absolutely crazy. It offers great entertainment, shows, fantastic shopping and the best hotels in America. Even when you are not a fan of playing at a casino you should have a look. It is a complete different world and placing a small bet will just give you the experience you want from Las Vegas.

“Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every ‘superstar,’ every ‘supreme leader,’ every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.” — Carl Sagan

I just had the pleasure of receiving the official Albert Lawrence lunch and Warner brothers lot tour. I tried not to be too touristy and take too many photos but here are a few I took. Even though I’ve worked on a few lots in town and visited most of the rest, I had not been here prior. I’ve always wanted to visit this lot in particular because throughout college it always represented the idea of “making it” in Hollywood (even though it’s in Burbank:) Whenever I would make the drive up from OC it was always what I orientated myself with. The day was a great treat sir. Thanks!
